Gimmicks....

Recently I went through excerpts of an interview with David Jones, Global CEO of Euro RSCG, world’s fifth largest advertising & marketing agency network.

According to him we are living in an attention – deficit economy where if you do not entertain and engage people they will not pay attention to your marketing or your message. He was speaking on tailoring global products to local cultures.

Admit that, to come with an ad that resonates with the customers is not an easy task. Now, I remember a travelogue of S.K Pottakkat about his visit to London in 1948. There he finds the name board of three different suit tailoring shops in the same street. The first one read:

“Worlds finest tailoring shop”

 Second one read:

“The top most tailoring shop in London”

And the final one went like this:

“The finest tailor shop in this street”!
